Scott Philipp: Home

 

Scott Philipp plays live original shows and also perform as an acoustic act playing a wide range of popular cover songs mixed with a fine original catalogue.  He has written songs for the BBC4 Documentary Film Department, one of which, "Fallin" from his 2007 release, will be featured in a film due for release in Norway in the spring 2010. He is currently working with an Emmy award winning Independent filmmaker from the U.S. on a film that will feature the song "One Fing(it's too late)" from his 2008 release (Just Another Day). The name of the Film which will be released on February 27th 2009 is"Averageman".

Scott has worked with various studios and music producers here in the U.S., including Fran Smith Jr., Dave Downham of Gradwell House Studios, Joe Carroll (Treehouse Productions) Austin, Texas, and producer/singer-songwriter Craig Simon (Joint Chiefs Productions); both Joe and Craig are long-time members of Tom Gillam's band "Tractor Pull" which is very popular in Germany, and in the Southern states of the U.S.

Scott's musical works Include: Delusions of Grandeur(2007 "Delusions of Grandeur" an album that doesn't have to grow on you but grabs your musical senses from the first cut and doesn't let go. The CD includes songs ranging from head boppin'-toe tappin'-finger snappin'-steeringwheel slappin' rock to haunting simplicity. You'll experience a range of musical emotions from "God this is great stuff" to wanting to grab your special someone and dance closer than you ever have before. There are no "filler" tunes here. Each cut carries it's own weight and brings something special to this remarkable collection.
